Andrew Barron and Sarah Supik, Event Organizers for Infinity at the NOVA Open 2013, are two dynamic leaders who have revamped Infinity in order to take advantage of three full days of NOVA Open Convention time (Friday, 8/30-Sunday 9/1). And they did it for YOU.
Two Nights of Hunger Games: Each Capped at 16 Players Infinity Hunger Games pits up to eight players per table against each other in a last-man standing struggle for survival! With a limited point of value and few orders at their disposal, players will have to weigh their decisions carefully to ensure victory. Form alliances with opponents (only to betray them later, of course!), rely on camouflage or traps, or just go all-out in a blazing storm of gunfire; the tactics are your choice. Just don’t let things stagnate, or you might find the battlefield gets more and more . . . inhospitable?! Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor! HUNGER GAMES PRIMER (02/13/13) All-Day Saturday ITS: Capped at 32 Players Main ITS Tournament: We are looking forward to hosting one of the largest ITS Infinity Tournaments ever held in the United States! Using the YAMS mission selection deck, which has become a popular tool in ITS tournaments across the glove, players will randomly acquire missions that must be fulfilled to secure Victory Points. But be careful: You’ll need your wits about you to determine your opponent’s strategy and keep him from scoring too many VP, too. Five rounds of gaming will provide a wide selection of challenging opponents and terrain environments. Be sure to test your Infinity skills to the max, as this tournament promises to be an exciting one! YAMS TOURNAMENT PRIMER (02/13/13) All-Day Sunday Team Tournament > Uncharted Territory: Capped at 16 Two-Player Teams Uncharted Territory: When it comes to exploring dangerous new worlds, sometimes you must form allies of necessity to survive and accomplish your goals quickly. The Infinity Team Tournament requires two players on each side to work together to retrieve a limited cache of supplies from inhospitable environments. With only a small force at each team member’s disposal, this tournament will definitely require players to build solid lists, think quickly on their feet, and – of great importance – work together! TEAM TOURNAMENT – UNCHARTED TERRITORY (Coming Soon)The plans for Infinity terrain at the NOVA Open are under way. Andrew and Sarah hope this schedule of events that will entice Infinity players from far and wide to make the trip this year. After all, how often can you plan a trip to Washington, D.C., tour the free museums, monuments and memorials simply by hopping on the nearby Metro, and still get in a dozen games of Infinity on high quality terrain being built specifically for this expanding presence at the NOVA Open?!
