Warhammer Army Showcase

NOVA Open has a long history of players bringing incredible care, creativity, and skill to the models they field in organized play. Many events give awards for the artistic side of the hobby. But often the talent of our players is only seen by their opponents or nearby tables. This year, we want to change that and show everyone at the NOVA Open what our tournament players can do! We are partnering with Games Workshop to launch a new convention-wide Warhammer Army Showcase celebrating the best that hobbyists have to offer for all Games Workshop games!

How it Works

Everyone who enters a Games Workshop system event will be automatically be included in the paint judging conducted by a crack team of judges led by Adam Langton from Games Workshop. Paint judging will take place throughout the convention during play. The painting scores will be provided to event leads for any events that have painting awards. Then, the most outstanding armies, teams, warbands, gangs, and detachments will be invited to come join the Saturday night Warhammer Army Showcase where everyone can come check out the amazing armies and get final round judging. Attendees will have the opportunity to vote for a Fan Favorite to be awarded at the end of the evening!

Early Preliminary Judging

Anyone is free to bring their Army for early preliminary judging on Wednesday! This is a great opportunity to show off your army on its display board under ideal conditions. Plus, socialize with other hobbyists and take in all the fun at the Wednesday Night with Games Workshop. It is completely free to participate, sign up today!
